30 hours in a coffin can win prizes, money

ST. LOUIS (WAND) – A Six Flags park is challenging people to spend 30 straight hours in a coffin this fall.

The Fright Fest 30-Hour Coffin Challenge at Six Flags St. Louis is happening on Oct. 13. People who complete the challenge will have the chance to win $300 in a drawing. They’ll also take home two 2019 Gold Season passes, two VIP Haunted House passes, Fright Fest prizes and a Freak Unleashed “Freak Train” ticket for two people, according to KRON.

Each person will stay in a 2 foot by 7 foot coffin complete with access to meals and snacks, along with phone charging stations, meaning the entire time can be spent on the phone. Each person will also get a six-minute bathroom break each hour.

People can bring pillows, blankets and sleeping bags if they choose to help get comfortable.

“Fright Fest Freaks” can randomly visit each coffin, the station says. The challenge runs from 1 p.m. on Oct. 13 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 14.

KRON says people can take home the coffin they stay in if they complete the challenge.

Contest registration can be done here. The deadline to apply is midnight on Oct. 3.
