Cake Lady Supply in Decatur to close

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A cake decorating supply business in Decatur is going to close, its owner announced. 

The closure of Cake Lady Supply, located at 328 W. Eldorado St., comes several months after a late March temporary closure. Owners said that decision was due to "an immeasurable loss in the family." 

The owner made a post on Facebook announcing the full closure of the business. 

"It is with much consideration and a heavy heart that I have decided to close Cake Lady Supply," the owner said. "It was a pleasure to serve Decatur and the surrounding area for almost 18 years. I will miss all of the customers I’ve come to know and will always appreciate the support of our small business."

Cake Lady Supply opened in 2003. A description on the company's Facebook page calls the business the "cake decorating and and candy making headquarters for central Illinois."
