CHAMPAIGN, IL- The walls of the College Corner Mall building in Champaign are coming down.
The building at Fourth and Green streets is being demolished to make way for a new eight story apartment building.
The Champaign News-Gazette reports a walkway will connect the new building with an apartment building next door.
The plans call for the first floor to contain retail space, with apartments on the remaining floors.
