CHARLESTON - The Charleston Police Department says officers were dispatched to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist Tuesday afternoon.
Charleston police say officers received a report of a vehicle colliding with a nine-year-old girl who was riding her bike in the area of Grant and University Avenue at about 3:04 p.m. Authorities say officers were able to interview the motorist and witnesses to this incident.
The nine-year-old was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Charleston police continue to investigate this incident. We will provide more details as they become available.
