MENARD COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) – Investigators identified a man killed in a Route 97 crash near Petersburg.
The victim was 60-year-old David Daniel from Tallula. A 2015 Hyundai Azera was heading westbound after 9 a.m. on Nov. 17 before it crossed into the eastbound lane and hit a 2007 Dodge Caravan, which Daniel was driving.
Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards says Daniel died from crash-related trauma.
Lab results are pending as Illinois State Police continue to investigate.
