15-year-old in critical condition after shooting in Danville

DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) -- One teen is in the hospital and a suspect behind bars after a shooting in Danville.

Police were called to the area near Williams Street and Plum Street just after 2 p.m. Saturday.

When police arrived they found a 15 year old in the road. He had been shot multiple times.

Police said, the teen was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Two hours later, police were able to track down the suspect. There was a brief chase, and the suspect was arrested in a field southeast of Poolside Drive.

The investigation continues.
