FORSYTH, Ill. (WAND) — Illinois State Police arrested five men during an operation in Forsyth after police said they tried to solicit a child.

The human trafficking demand suppression operation was done on Thursday and Friday. ISP said their focus was on finding people looking to engage in commercial sex acts.

Five men were arrested and charged with multiple child solicitation-related felonies over the two-day span:

  • Thad E. Olson (58, Bloomington, IL) — Traveling to meet a minor and solicitation to meet a child
  • Robert W. Danbury (34, Decatur, IL) — Indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a minor and solicitation to meet a child
  • David R. Martin (69, Bethany, IA) — Indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a minor, solicitation to meet a child and grooming
  • Benito Rojas-Martinez (54, Urbana, IL) — Indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a minor, solicitation to meet a child and grooming
  • Luke V. Nguyen (54, Peoria, IL) — Indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a minor, solicitation to meet a child and grooming
