DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Decatur police have released surveillance footage of a person who entered a vacant home just before it caught on fire.
The fire happened on Monday, May 5 at a home in the 600 block of East Wood Street.Â
The Decatur Fire Department said that the building "has been the site of multiple previous fires."
Surveillance images provided by DPD show a thin-build white man, wearing a black hat, blue jacket, black pants, and black shoes. He was also seen carrying an orange backpack.
If you have any information regarding this arson, you can call Crime Stoppers at 217-423-TIPS. You do not have to give your name. Crime Stoppers will pay $500 or more for information that leads to an arrest on the crime of the week.
