URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - A Ford County man has been sentenced to nearly two more years in prison while already serving a 12-year sentence.

The US Attorney's Office for the Central District of Illinois said in a news release that 41-year-old Paul Theesfield of Roberts was sentenced to 21 additional months in prison for sending a threatening letter. 

Theesfield pleaded guilty in February after mailing a letter to a victim in Gibson City back in October 2023.

In the letter, Theesfield stated that he wanted to harm the victim's husband and sexually assault her. 

The US Attorney's Office said the woman who received the letter was the same person Theesfield had hit with his car and attempted to kidnap in December 2020. 

Theesfield tried to kidnap another woman in Champaign in September 2009.
