MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - A former substitute teacher arrested and charged with grooming in May 2022 has been sentenced to two and a half years' probation.
According to Coles County court records, Keith Green of Ashmore was sentenced Wednesday to 30 months' probation.
Additionally, court records state that Green is not allowed near a park/playground, a youth-centered facility, or to have contact with anyone under 18.
Mattoon Police arrested Green on May 17, 2022, after a charge alleged he used an electronic device to communicate with a girl under the age of 17, in an attempt to solicit sexual encounters.
Green will have a progress hearing March 11, 2026.
