CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Champaign police arrested a suspect following a deadly shooting late Friday afternoon.
The Champaign Police Department said it arrested 21-year-old Charles Haynes in connection with the shooting.
Haynes is charged with four counts of first-degree murder.
According to the City of Champaign, police responded to East Columbia Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. after reports of a shooting.
Police said they found a 33-year-old Aaron Sibley of Champaign shot in a nearby alley.
Sibley was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
