URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - Police said a man accidentally shot himself in Urbana early Friday morning.Â
Urbana police officers were called to the 1700 block of E. Washington Ave. just before 3 a.m.
Officers said they found 43-year-old Errol Troutman suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Troutman was transported to Carle Hospital for treatment.
Police said Troutman's injury was the result of a gun accidentally going off and was self-inflicted. Troutman was issued a Notice to Appear for Unlawful Use of aÂ
Weapon.
