SPRINGFIELD, IL- One man is dead after a mobile home fire in Springfield Friday afternoon.
Springfield firefighters responded to the fire at 3 Shennadoh Drive, which is in the Grand Valley Village Mobile Home Park, just before 2 p.m.
The first firefighters on the scene found heavy smoke and fire coming from the mobile home.
After the fire was extinguished, search crews found an adult man inside the home.
The man was transported to Memorial Medical Center were he was pronounced dead.
The fire is now under investigation.
