URBANA, IL- The University of Illinois has named their Deputy Chief of Police and Assistant Director of Public Safety Jeff Christensen as the acting director until March 3.
After that, Christensen will become the interim director when Chief Barbara O'Connor officially leaves to work at the University of Connecticut.
This is not the first time Christensen has served in an interim chief capacity. He was interim chief from 2007Â until 2009.
