CHATHAM, Ill. (WAND) - Glenwood High School has again been nationally recognized as the best high school in the Springfield area. 

Glenwood is the 89th-best public high school in Illinois, according to the U.S. News & World Report Best High School rankings. 

The Ball-Chatham School District said that is an improvement of 16 places from the 2025-26 report. 

BCSD said that GHS ranked No. 69 in state-required test proficiency and No. 76 in the range of courses providing college readiness.
