CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Commencement at Parkland College will feature a special guest from the Champaign area.
Retired Paralympian Nichole Millage will deliver the keynote address for the 2025 graduates. She graduated from Centennial High School in the class of 1995.
After losing her lower left leg in a boating accident while at Parkland, she did not allow this setback to hold her back. She went on to play volleyball at the Summer Paralympics, where she won two gold medals and two silver medals.
