Springfield, IL -
Police in Springfield have arrested a former teacher for allegedly having sex with one of his underage students.
26 year old Robert Nika is charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Court documents allege Nika had sex with a 16 year old in January while he was a Physical Education teacher at Southeast High School. Court documents also show Nika had a restraining order against him for alleged domestic violence.
The Lober-Nika gymnasium at Lanphier High School in Springfield is named after Robert Nika's grandfather, Bob, and Arlyn Lober.
