A young boy who drowned in a backyard swimming pool in Moweaqua last week will be laid to rest Monday.
The mother of two-year-old Gabe Bowers said her son got out of the house while his dad was in another room. She says he was only out of sight for a few minutes before his sister found him in the pool.
He was one of six kids. His visitation and funeral are both Monday morning at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Ramsey. The visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the funeral is at 11:00.
State police are investigating the incident.
