Georgetown – A Central Illinois town could get a new shooting range.
Â
The Georgetown City Council is expected to vote whether to lease a portion of land to a committee to put a shooting range in the city.
Â
It will likely be built at Oubache Park a town planning committee says they would like to open a pistol range. The main focus of the new range would be to emphasize firearm safety and education.
Â
The city owns Oubache Park's 18 acres, but the committee says council members have agreed to lease them that land. They are waiting for the lease proposal to be approved.
