An agency that has served Decatur for more than two decades is now ready to expand.
The Good Samaritan Inn broke ground at its future location on the 900 block of North Union Street. Executive Director Kathleen Taylor says they've dealt with an overcrowding issue for years. The Good Samaritann Inn provides hot meals for nearly 400 residents a day, but in its current location can only seat 54 people at a time.
The new facility will more than double the space to about 12,000 square feet. It should be done early next year.
