LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) — The new Monarch Youth Center in Lincoln seeks juvenile justice specialists for a job screening event with the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice.

On September 17 and 18, there will be a job screening at the Lincoln Park District starting at 8 a.m. and lasting four to six hours. Organizers say those interested must fill out an online application three days prior to the screening day. You can find the forms needed to download, print, and complete by clicking here.

Organizers say specialists make a difference by providing care in a healthy environment through mentoring relationships and direct supervision. This is a full-time, year-round job with a starting salary of $62,532.

To qualify, you must be at least 21, have a valid driver's license, and be eligible to work in the United States. Those applying without a bachelor's degree must have a high school diploma (or an equivalent) and two or more years of experience providing direct care to youth in residential care, coaching, case management, or mentoring.

Organizers say those attending the screenings should dress comfortably and bring a copy of their license.
