DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A man incarcerated at the Danville Correctional Center has died after testing positive for COVID-19.
The Illinois Department of Corrections confirmed late Tuesday the death involved a man in his 40s. He passed on Dec. 26.Â
As of Jan. 5, the Danville facility had seen 137 staff members test positive for the virus and 747 inmates test positive. Of those, 112 employees had recovered and 481 inmates recovered.Â
