SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The Illinois Department of Transportation has cautioned drivers to be on the lookout for pavement buckling on roads throughout the state due to high temperatures.
The agency said that road crews are ready to respond to any repairs as quickly as possible.
Drivers should avoid driving over buckled roads when possible.
