SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Teachers who hold a career and technical education license are now eligible for tenure in Illinois.
CTE teachers were previously left out of tenure consideration due to an oversight by state lawmakers. A new law guarantees those educators are entitled to the rights and privileges of professional educator license holders.

This advisory committee will help the Illinois State Board of Education gather feedback from program instructors and participants before proposing changes to teacher evaluations.
