URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — One person was hurt after their home caught fire in Urbana Sunday afternoon.
The Urbana Fire Department responded to a fire in the 2000 block of Silver Court just after 3 p.m.
According to the department, one person had already evacuated from the house when firefighters arrived. The person was taken to the ambulance for evaluation, and later taken to the hospital.
The fire department said the fire started near the kitchen and was brought under control within 10 minutes. Crews remained on scene for just under two hours.
Nobody else was hurt in the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
