CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign Unit 4 School District's "Operation Hope" program celebrated its students' graduation on Wednesday.
Forty-five seniors graduated this year, the largest in the program's 18-year history.
Operation Hope is a collaboration between several organizations in Champaign County.
The program promotes college and career readiness to teens through mentorship, life skills development and community engagement during the times they need it most.
"I believe our kids are struggling right now, so any wins that they have, I feel like we need to celebrate [them]," said Tiarra McMillan, career service placement liaison for Operation Hope.
More information on the program is available online.
