DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — An intersection in downtown Decatur is shut down after a crash Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of East Wood Street and South Main Street, near the Macon County Office Building.
The Decatur Police Department told WAND News that one person was taken to the hospital. Pictures taken by a WAND photojournalist show two vehicles and debris in the road.
It is unclear what caused the crash, or how severe the injuries are. DPD said the area will be shut down for "a while," but did not share a specific time frame.
Decatur police said they will share more details soon.
