DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Caroline Reese and Alivia Colon took their latest Girls Trip out on the water!
The two joined the Commodore Decatur Yacht Club for Sea Legs Saturday, an opportunity for people to get introduced to sailing and learn more about the hobby.
Participants get hands-on experience while learning basic sailing skills alongside experienced sailors. Caroline and Alivia got to try it for themselves, learning how to work the sails, handle the boat and communicate with the crew.
And, of course, there were plenty of laughs along the way!
Sea Legs Saturday is designed to give people who are curious about sailing a chance to experience it in a fun, welcoming environment. It’s also a great way to meet other people who share an interest in being out on the water.
For Caroline and Alivia, it was another opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, try something new and showcase an activity available right here in Decatur.
