DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Police are investigating after a shooting near the CVS in north Decatur Sunday night.

It happened at the intersection of West Pershing Road and North Monroe Street. That is near the Gailey Eye Clinic and the CVS Pharmacy.

WAND reporters at the scene saw at least five Decatur police cars in the area around 8:45 p.m. The intersection was blocked off by police.

The Decatur Police Department told WAND News that officers were investigating a shooting in the area. They said someone was shot and taken to the hospital. There is no word on that person's status.

Police are still searching for the suspect. If you have any information, you are asked to call DPD at 217-424-2711.
