PARIS, Ill. (WAND) — An Edgar County man is dead after being hit by a car early Sunday morning.
According to the Edgar County Coroner's Office, it happened just before 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Roberts Street in Paris.
The coroner's office said an investigation determined that a Vermilion County resident driving north on Main Street hit 43-year-old Jason A. Lister, who was in the middle of the street.
Lister was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The Paris Police Department and Edgar County Coroner's Office are still investigating the incident.
