SEYMOUR, Ill. (WAND) - The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado as storms left behind damage in Champaign County Tuesday afternoon.

The NWS said the tornado touched down just northwest of Lodge in Piatt County and traveled around 25 miles between 3:12 p.m. and 3:42 p.m., eventually dissipating near Pesotum in Champaign County.

Its max width was 800 yards with 100 mph winds. The tornado was also the 65th tornado in the WAND viewing area, which does not include all of central Illinois. 

A barn was torn apart in Seymour during the round of severe weather.

Seymour is about 10 miles west of Champaign-Urbana. 

Another barn was flattened, with farm equipment tossed around and several trees damaged.

Storms also left behind damage and flooding across much of the Midwest, including Chicago and parts of Ohio and Indiana.
