DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Deborah Norville, who has hosted Inside Edition for 30 years, will exit the show at the end of the current season.
Norville made the announcement during Wednesday's episode of Inside Edition.Â
"Now is the time for me to move on from Inside Edition," Norville said. "They made me a lovely offer to stay but there things I'd like to do and places I want to do them that continuing here don't permit."
In the fall, Norville will host a game show called The Perfect Line and central Illinois fans of Norville will still get to see her. The show will replace Pictionary on WAND at 11 a.m. A start date for the program has not yet been announced.Â
According to Inside Edition, Norville is the longest serving anchor on U.S. television. She was inducted into the Broadcasting Cable and Hall of Fame in 2016 and is a 2-time Emmy Award winner. Â
"What a privilege it has been to lead Inside Edition for all of these years. To work with the incredibly talented team here," Norville said.
Norville is also an author and lecturer, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and on the board for the Broadcasters Foundation of America.Â
A new host for Inside Edition hasn't been announced.Â
Inside Edition airs at 3 p.m. CT on WAND.Â
