DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Irwin the Laughing Kookaburra from the Scovill Zoo visited the WAND news studio on May 13. 

Laughing Kookaburras are native to Australia and New Zealand. 

Irwin is 13 years old, which is middle age for the species. They hunt small prey like rodents and reptiles. 

The Scovill Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
