DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Two people were shot following a large party in Decatur early Sunday morning.Â
Decatur police started getting calls about a party with a giant crowd and loud music in the 1600 block of East Decatur around 3 a.m. Officers then got calls about shots being fired at the party.Â
Responding officers found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest/shoulder area. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.Â
A 27-year-old woman was shot in both legs. She was treated and released from the hospital.Â
DPD told WAND News numerous shell casings were found in road and on the sidewalk. There were several different calibers, all of them rifle rounds.
At least one home was also hit by gunfire in 1600 block as well as a vehicle.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Decatur police.Â
