SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Two people were taken to the hospital after multiple crashes on Interstate 55 south of Springfield.
Illinois State Police tells WAND News three crashes took place beginning around noon on Saturday, November 30.
Near mile marker 82, there was a crash involving four vehicles. Two people were injured and were taken to the hospital.
Another crash happened around 1:45 p.m. near mile marker 88. That involved three vehicles, with no injuries.
Finally, a one vehicle crash near mile marker 86 left the driver with minor injuries.
State Police encourages anyone driving in the area to take it slow and move over for any vehicles with emergency or hazard lights on.
