SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Organizers of the Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series have canceled Wednesday night's concert due to concerns about severe weather.
In a social media post, organizers said the decision was made because of the forecast for high winds, heavy rain, and possible lightning during the event.
"Last night's weather was no joke and neither is the safety of our community and guests," organizers wrote.
While the June 11 concert will not take place as planned, organizers say there is hope the event can be rescheduled later this season.
