2 people taken to hospital after Decatur crash, man seriously injured

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Two people were taken to the hospital, including one in serious condition, following a crash in Decatur Tuesday morning.

The Decatur Police Department responded to a traffic crash just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Garfield and Main Street.

Decatur police found during an investigation that a 52-year-old woman driving her gold SUV and a 42-year-old woman driving a black SUV collided at the intersection.

The driver of the gold SUV was taken to the hospital. Police stated the passenger, a 58-year-old man, was unresponsive at the scene. He was taken to the hospital and treated for life-threatening injuries.

Additionally, the driver of the black SUV was uninjured.
