DECATUR, IL- One of six people charged in connection with a murder this past summer has made a guilty plea.

Michael McNeely, 23, pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice in court Monday. McNeely was arrested after the July 5 shooting death of Christopher Kraft.

The 28 year-old Kraft was shot to death when an argument between two groups of people on East North Street turned deadly. Two other men who were with Kraft were also injured.

McNeely also pleaded guilty to a robbery charge in a previous, unrelated case. He was sentenced to a total of five years in prison on both charges.

Three other men have also been charged with murder in this case. Eugene Miller, 23, Sean Simmons, 23, and John Jones, 18, have all pleaded not guilty. All three men are now awaiting trial.

Police arrested two other people in connection with this case, one on obstruction charges and one on a weapons charge.
