MAROA, Ill. (WAND) — A Maroa man has been arrested on child pornography possession charges.
Corey J. Giese, 23, was arrested on Jan. 2 by the Maroa Police Department.
Two witnesses provided statements to MPD regarding child sexual abuse material on Giese's phone as well as screenshots of his social media accounts.
According to a sworn statement from an officer, Giese came to the station for questioning and was arrested on three counts of child porn possession with victims under 13.
At a pre-trial hearing, Giese was released under the order that he have no interaction with minor children and no access to the internet. His arraignment was set for Feb. 7.
