MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - A Mattoon man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 5 announced the guilty plea and sentencing of 23-year-old Dayquan Slaughter for four Counts of Possession, Production, and Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class X Felonies).
On December 19, 2023, a search warrant was executed at an address in Mattoon, pursuant to an investigation by ISP and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Slaughter was taken into custody for possession of Child Pornography.
On February 5, 2024, Slaughter plead guilty to four Class X felony charges involving both possession and dissemination of child pornography and was sentenced to 25 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
