(WAND) - Only two days after performing at the Devon Lakeshore Ampitheater, 'American Idol' star Alex Miller's drummer was shot and killed in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee.Â
According to WBIR 10 News, Mark Steven Laws, 62, was shot and killed on Sunday, May 25.
Miller posted to Instagram on Tuesday stating, "My heart is truly broken at the passing of my drummer Mark Laws. My grandad once told me that you’ll have lots of friends in your life, but finding a try friend is something that is rare and special."Â
Miller and Laws both performed for the second night of the Devon's opening weekend on Friday, May 23.
