SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Illinois State Police and the Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation are hosting the First Annual Memorial Park Ceremony in honor of Police Memorial Week.Â
Families of officers killed in the line of duty will gather to honor their sacrifice.Â
The gathering will be held Wednesday, May 6, at 2 p.m. at Illinois State Police Memorial Park, 615 E. Lawrence St. in Springfield.Â
