Pana Tri-County Fair kicks off, celebrates 75 years

PANA, Ill. (WAND) — The Pana Tri-County Fair opens its gates today and celebrates a major milestone.

For 75 years, the fair has been generational, summer fun for families. Organizers of the fair shared their secret behind their continued success.

"We love the kids. We do it for the kids. Because when you go out and you see the kids being happy and playing, it makes it worth all your work."

The entire fair is put together by volunteers, this year featuring a monster truck race, log rolling, and queen pageants.

The Tri-County Fair will run until September 2nd. Admission is 5 dollars for anyone over the age of 12. Admission is free for anyone under 12.

On Monday, admission will be free to the public.
