Police: Suspect showed knife in robbery at Casey's

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) – An armed robbery suspect accused of stealing from a Casey’s store is behind bars.

Police say 22-year-old Richard Wilson Jr. showed a knife on Nov. 5 before taking money and cigarettes from a Casey’s at 3001 Ridge Avenue in Springfield. They say Wilson then ran from the store.

The suspect is between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-2, weighs between 150 and 200 pounds, wore all-black clothing and had a camouflage mask on at the time of the robbery, a press release says.

Wilson faces armed robbery and aggravated robbery charges. His bond is set at $75,000 as he is held in the Sangamon County Jail.
