DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - No firearms were involved after Decatur police investigated a shots fired report at Millikin University Monday night.Â
The Decatur Police Department told WAND News that Millikin student-athletes were playing with toy guns at Dolson Hall and someone believed they were real.Â
The university initially sent out a safety alert to students and staff, saying there had been reports of shots fired at Dolson Hall, and MU sent an "all clear" alert just before 10 p.m.Â
Police said there were no injuries or arrests reported.Â
The university added that there is no ongoing threat to the campus community.Â
