Rapper Mac Miller loses life after overdose

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, Calif. (WAND) – Rapper Mac Miller has died from an apparent drug overdose.

TMZ is reporting the Pittsburgh-area artist lost his life Friday. Police found Miller at his home in San Fernando Valley.

The network says a friend in the home notified 911 of what was happened, leading to the police response.

The publication says Miller has dealt with substance abuse issues for years. He was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing his car into a utility pole in May.

Miller released five studio albums in his career, including “Blue Slide Park”, “Watching Moves with the Sound Off” and others. His latest album “Swimming” was released in August.
