SkyWest Airlines, operating as United Express, renewed at Decatur Airport

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The U.S. Department of Transportation has again chosen SkyWest Airlines, operating as United Express, to provide Essential Air Service to the Decatur Airport. 

This will be for a four-year term beginning December 21, 2024, through December 31, 2028.

SkyWest has provided jet service from the Decatur Airport to Chicago O'Hare since 2020.

SkyWest will continue offering Decatur passengers twelve round trips per week to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) using 50-passenger CRJ200 aircraft.

In 2024, over 11,000 passengers have flown from Decatur to Chicago and beyond.
