MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - A suspicious house fire is under investigation in Mattoon.Â
The Mattoon Fire Department was called to the 2500 block of Dewitt at 3:38 a.m. Sunday for a fire.Â
Crews found an abandoned house with no utilities connected fully engulfed in flames.Â
Crews battled the fire for over two hours to bring it under control.Â
A department investigator began a cause and origin investigation and determined that this fire is suspicious in nature. Mattoon Police were notified.Â
No injuries were reported.Â
