URBANA, Ill. (WAND) -- Working to make sure people are prepared to protect themselves.
University of Illinois Police Department said in a Facebook post, several public safety employees have been conducting active threat presentations on campus and the community.
The group recently held a training session for the DREAAM board and staff members.Â
They discussed ways to identify stressors and obstacles a person may face in an active threat situation.Â
There was also a hands-on demonstration about the Run-Hide-Fight model.Â
Organizers said, the main objective of the workshop was to empower participants to absorb content comfortably in a relaxed and educational environment.
