LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) - Investigators have identified a woman who they found dead at the scene of a Lincoln fire.Â
Firefighters said they responded at 3:48 a.m. Thursday to an address at the coroner of Butler and Delevan streets in Lincoln. They discovered heavy smoke and went inside to find heavy fire.Â
During suppression efforts, crews found 24-year-old Alexandra M. LeSuer in the back of the residence. An autopsy is finished, a press release from the Logan County Coroner's Office said, with results pending.
The pets killed in the fire include two dogs and six cats.Â
Authorities estimate the fire caused about $100,000 in damage. Flames damaged the entire apartment, responders said.Â
The Lincoln Police Department, Lincoln Fire Department, State Fire Marshal and Logan County Coroner's Office are investigating the LeSuer's death.
